Tuscaloosa Disaster Relief

Suwanee Dental Care is joining forces with the GA Force to help gather items for the tornado victims. We are the team Dentist's for the Force again this year after their 2 year sabbatical.

GA Force is teaming up with Toomer's for Tuscaloosa to help support the Disaster Relief in North Georgia. They will be parking a trailer in front of the Arena starting at 7am on Friday, May 6th and will continue until kickoff. Each person that donates will receive a voucher for a free ticket to the night's game.

Hooray for Hat Trick!

¶ Hat Trick for Reading nights a huge success

The Gladiators had a pair of games in November to mark their annual Hat Trick for Reading Program sponsored by Suwanee Dental Care. Local elementary school students were rewarded for their reading efforts with game vouchers.

First, the Gladiators hosted Kalamazoo on November 7^th as 8,614 fans crowded into Gwinnett Arena. The Gladiators battled back from early deficits but would fall 5-4 after a late 3^rd period goal.

Sing for Santa celebrates 6^th year!

7,711 fans packed the arena to see the 6^th Annual Sing for Santa Concert during the 1^st Intermission. The concert featured over 1,100 local elementary school kids and was presented by Bubbling Creek Company, Kroger, Racetrac, and the Gwinnett Daily Post. The kids were featured singing holiday favorites during a 10 minute concert.

On the ice, the Gladiators battled first place South Carolina tooth and nail before giving up a late tie-breaking goal in a 3-1 loss.

The following week on November 13^th, a near capacity crowd of 10,583 watched the Gladiators score the tying goal with just 15 seconds remaining en route to a 3-2 shootout victory over South Carolina

The Opportunity of a LIFETIME!

Our patient, Yoniko "Tina" Washington was chosen to represent India at the 2009 World Figure Skating Championships in Los Angeles, CA last month!

She did this against many hurdles which needed a strong will, dedication and hard work to overcome. She was the second youngest to compete and she was the least experienced of her competitors.

Tina is 16 and lives with her family in Duluth. She trains at the Atlanta Ice Forum in Duluth

In January 2008, Tina won the Silver Medal at the "Fifth All-India National Figure Skating Championships". The event was held in Shimla, India at a natural ice rink near the Himalaya mountains. Ice skaters from 12 Indian states participated, as well as skaters such as Tina who live outside of India, but are of Indian descent.

Medaling at the Championships opened a whole realm of possibilities for Tina. She was invited to skate at the 2008 Four Continents competition in Goyang, South Korea.

Tina did compete in two of the 2008 Junior Grand Prix events - Courchevel, France and Sheffield, England.

In February, she passed the Senior Free skate Test, which is the highest level test given in the United States.

Tina also got the most dependable volunteer award last year from First Alliance Church Northdruid Hills Rd, plays violin, sings on the worship team and has all A's in School!

Georgia Force selects Suwanee Dental Care to protect its team smiles

The Georgia Force has selected Suwanee Dental Care to be their team dentist beginning with the 2008 season. Because of their standing in the community and their success in caring for the ECHL Gwinnett Gladiators, North Gwinnett Bulldogs and Mill Creek Ice Hawks, Dr. Bill Williams, Dr. Blazej Golik, Dr. Jeremy Smith of Suwanee Dental Care are now serving the Georgia Force of the Arena Football League. Dr. Williams is a member of the American Academy of Sports Dentistry and has advanced training in the treatment and fabrication of custom athletic mouth guards.
